1955 Pontiac
The 1955 Pontiac was a totally redesigned car. Although the wheel base remained the same as in 1954, the cars had a longer, lower look. In 1955 Pontiac introduced wrap around windshield and eyebrows over the headlights. And each line featured a different variation of the snub-nosed grille.
Pontiac's first V-8 called the "Strato-Streak" started as a 287.2 CID, with standard horsepower at 173 for manual transmission equipped cars and 180 for those with automatic transmissions.
