1960 Pontiac
1960 Pontiac
The 1960 full-sized Pontiac was completely redesigned, this time dumping the split grille. However, that grille treatment would return to full-sized Pontiacs in 1961. The new design featured an uninterrupted grill spanning the front of the car, with quad headlights. The fins disappeared in the rear and dual taillights graced the rear.
Full-sized Pontiac models included Catalina, Ventura, Star Chief and top-of-the-line Bonneville.
Engines remained the 389, with horsepower rating ranging from 245 on the low end to the quick Tempest 425 NASCAR Tri-power, rated at 348 horsepower.
