Pontiac for 1958 featured a cleaner overall look than the '57s. Gone was the heavy-looking front grille in favor of a lighter, simpler mesh grille. The missile-shaped side trim was wider and the the rear body panels were concave. As with other GM offerings, quad headlights were utilized.
The Bonneville became part of the regular line-up in 1958. The 370 CID, V-8 with output of 240 hp, (285 with automatic transmission). It was the standard engine on all body types. Optional on all body types were a 300 hp triple-carb "Tri-Power" and a 310 hp fuel injection engine.
